Wives should love their husbands and submit to them just as believers submit themselves to
Christ, their spiritual husband. If husbands love their wives with wholehearted and sacrificial
love—as Christ loved the church—it will not be difficult for wives to submit to their
husbands, since they will be confident that their husbands will always be seeking what is
truly best for them.
